All’AvamPOsto

All’AvamPOsto is a restaurant created from a barge located on the banks of the Po River, in Portalbera. An absolutely unique location that takes you back to times gone by, when summers were spent cooling off in the river waters. Sitting indoors or outdoors, the rhythm is set by the slow flow of the Great River.

The restaurant offers traditional dishes such as local cured meats, risottos, stuffed pasta, roasts and of course … freshwater fish!

Marco, the Owner and Chef, is always busy because he takes care of all the preparations, from appetizers to desserts, but he is always smiling. Not only that… Marco is also known as the Condottiero, because he also takes care of the aperitifs and aperitif dinners on board the motor vessel owned by the Lombardy Region and managed by him.

Sailing on the Po River and tasting the delicacies prepared by Marco while admiring the lights of the sunset and the reflection on the water when it gets dark is an experience that must be done at least once!

Boccapane

Boccapane is a beautiful agriturismo immersed in nature in Pometo . The dishes on the menu
are created by Andrea, originally from Genoa but with Oltrepò flowing through his veins for many years.

Andrea is also a sommelier and producer of wines that can be tasted at his restaurant, along with other wines from Oltrepò Pavese. On the menu you will find typical local cured meats, schita, crespelle, different types of risotto, stuffed pasta, malfatti, cheeses, second courses of wild boar, duck, guinea fowl and much more.

His hospitality is unmatched: in addition to the tasty dishes, at his agriturismo you are always happy.
Andrea is so sunny and friendly, that you would never get tired of listening to his stories.

It is a true force of nature.

Cà del Monte Resort

If you climb up to reach Cà del Monte Resort , not far from the Cà del Monte Astronomical Observatory.
For the first courses, you can choose between risottos, gnocchi, fresh pasta and stuffed pasta, to continue with the second courses of meat or vegetables.

Among the desserts, the bonet is intriguing, a dessert that is not typical of Oltrepò Pavese, but of Piedmont. That’s because Anna, the owner, is Piedmontese.

When she grew up, she decided that the right size for her was some isolated area, far from the noise of the city, she looked for it… and she found it, in the Oltrepò Pavese, in Cecima!

For some time now, he has been passionately running his resort with rooms and a restaurant, also dedicating himself to the creation of lavender products.

Vino dei Frati

Vino dei Frati in Rovescala, at frazione Mosca is a restaurant with an enviable view . In front of the entrance, the view is lost on the rows of grapes, while from the panoramic terrace of the restaurant that looks north, you dominate the surrounding hills and on sunny days, you can recognize in the distance even the tallest buildings of Milan.

Of the four restaurants competing, this was the first one where the episode was recorded.

The wine list proposed by the owner Beatrice includes numerous wineries from the Oltrepò and wines from other areas of Italy and the world; her dishes include local products – sometimes with revisited recipes – and the desserts are truly delicious.
