The Menconico picnic area – inside the “Riserva Naturale Regionale Monte Alpe” (which reaches 1254 m) offers the possibility of having barbecues. The area is in Fontana Forni, has benches, tables, shelters, parking, barbecue area and drinking water (but there are no toilets).
The reserve is easily reached by car from Varzi, direction Monte Penice – Bobbio, then it is only accessible on foot.
