You can climb the Monte Penice, which reaches 1,460 meters above sea level. From its peak you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view that, with the help of a clear sky, embraces the Alps, includind Liguria and a casts of the Po River Valley.

You can follow numerous paths , discovering the sinuous profiles and alternating colours of the vegetation by the hills of Oltrepò Pavese .

By the months of June and July, in some places like Ruino , Borgoratto Mormorolo , Godiasco and in surrounding areas of the comune di Varzi, you absolutely cannot miss the wonderful fields of lavender in bloom that have nothing to envy to Provenza(France): almost magical places where purple becomes perfume and perfume becomes color. Can you already imagine making a beautiful pictures for your living room?

Do we want to talk about the rows of grapes, which always give images of great beauty and suggestion, thanks to the geometric perspectives of the vineyards , the colors of the leaves changes according to the season, the play of light and shadow transform the panorama depending on whether you are giving beautifull views from at the morning to the sunset.

You can have fun photographing the views of splendid medieval villages such as  Fortunago, Varzi, Zavattarello, Golferenzo, that are among the most beautiful and characteristic places of the Oltrepò Pavese, their beauty makes them to be included among the most beautiful villages in Italy,  but there are still others that deserve to be visited, such as  San Ponzo and Godiasco .

You can go to castles and sped time by framing medieval towers, laces, mullioned windows and gates.
For example, you can admire the castles in the Comune di Zavattarello, Varzi, Montalto Pavese, Montesegale and Nazzano. There are also ruins of fortresses that once overlooked the hills, as in the case of the Castello di Montù dei Gabbi .
