What to do in Oltrepò on the weekend with your childrens?
The Oltrepò hills undoubtedly offer nature trails of various types and different levels of difficulty/commitment, as well as monuments of great beauty to see, but for families with small children, there are two “magical” places in the flat areas, just beyond the Po, ideal for family trips in Oltrepò Pavese.
Activities for children
On first place, located in Voghera: we have the Cowboyland – Ranch di Voghera Amusement Park .
This large Western park usually opens during spring onwards, during the weekends it offers:
- Engaging shows, some of which refer to man’s deep connection with nature
- Fun rides
- Almost close contact with different animals

Among the activities with animals, the little ones can become familiar with ponies , taking a ride on them.
A lunch break in the saloon restaurant and those who wish can also stop for dinner and spend the night in one of the themed rooms, in the amusement park hotel .
Without a doubt this will be an unforgettable weekend in Oltrepo Pavese.
By the second we have a small park located in Verrua Po: Pappagalli In Volo

The nonprofit association Pappagalli In Volo was created to protect parrots.
Throughout the year, on Sundays or on special occasions, it organizes events to raise awareness of the habits of these beautiful, friendly and intelligent birds with wonderful colors.
You can socialize with the park’s parrots and learn to call them to your arm.
Depending on the time of the event – morning or afternoon – a salty snack or an afternoon snack is provided at the end of the visit.
A truly original, fun and interesting activity for everyone, young and old, which also allows you to support this association.
Seeing children filled with joy in living experiences that are extremely exciting for them is priceless and then, let’s face it… amusement parks or activities where you get close to the world of animals make us adults feel like children again!
Are you ready to decide which weekends to spend in any of these two parks?
